We are often asked what the name ENZA means? ENZA is just a name but it means so much more – to us and fansof our apples and pears.

ENZA, formally the New Zealand Apple & Pear Marketing Board, has been successfully exporting premium New Zealand pipfruit for over 50 years. The ENZA brand was launched in 1992 and now, as part of the Turners and Growers Group, is one of the worlds most recognised and trusted fruit brands.
Based in New Zealand ENZA works with hundreds if talented growers around New Zealand and the world to grow and market the worlds finest apples in over sixty countries. We have teams located throughout New Zealand and all the countries we have apples in who partner with growers to deliver the best possible apples and pears.
Having originated from the pristine food basket that is New Zealand, ENZA has a legacy of innovation and expertise that comes from breeding the world’s best apples and delivering them to markets on the far side of the planet. Out of that environment ENZA has introduced many of the great apples of decades past to apple lovers everywhere. These include Braeburn, Granny Smith, Royal Gala, Pacific Rose™ and now Jazz™.
Our outstanding network of global marketing partners are the recognised experts in their field and ensure that ENZA apples are available through all the great produce stores of the world. Their committed teams ensure that ENZA continues to be known as the standard for quality and consistency world wide and that apple fans continue to enjoy the ENZA apples eating experience.
Around 45 different varieties of ENZA apples and pears are exported to countries around the globe. The four major varieties, Jazz™,Braeburn, Fuji and Royal Gala, make up over 75% of the volume we export, with a raft of other varieties contributing to the total, including Cox Orange Pippin, Pacific Rose™ and Granny Smith, to name a few. ENZA continues to invest in new variety development, and has exclusive global rights to world leading new varieties, including Jazz™ and ENVY™.
In 2003 ENZA merged with Turners & Growers Ltd, forming a company with a turnover in excess of $1 billion. Turners & Growers have over 100 years experience in the New Zealand fresh fruit and vegetable industry, and is now working towards cementing our position as one of the largest horticultural companies in the Southern Hemisphere.
